Naoki Takiguchi is a Research Fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA). Prior to joining JIIA, Takiguchi served as Senior Program Manager and Political Analyst at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Japan Office. He previously held positions at the House of Representatives Office of Akihisa Nagashima, the Embassy of Sweden Tokyo, and the Democratic Party of Japan, and also served as a Special Researcher at the Cabinet Secretariat.

Takiguchi received the Secretary-General's Award in the Liberal Democratic Party International Bureau's 2022 International Politics and Diplomacy Dissertation Contest. He holds a license as an Aide for Policy and Legislative Affairs to Members of the Diet and earned an M.A. in International Politics and Economics from the Graduate School of Nishogakusha University.
