The Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP) is a private international organization established to provide a permanent framework for examining approaches to security cooperation in the region. Through research and study activities on various security-related issues, CSCAP aims to contribute to the formation of a "security community" in the Asia-Pacific and to offer policy recommendations to government-level initiatives, including the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).
