On October 1, 2025, The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) held a well-attended press conference to mark the establishment of the Center for Global Outreach (CGO) with the participation of numerous members of the press and a lively Q&A session. Following the press conference, JIIA President Kenichiro Sasae delivered opening remarks, while CGO Executive Director Takio Yamada briefed attendees on the purpose behind the CGO’s establishment. A seminar featuring three JIIA CGO Fellows was also conducted, during which enthusiastic discussions with participants took place.You can view footage from the event at the below.
