OSUGI joined in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan as a temporary-basis member of staff in the field of disarmament and non-proliferation.

He has took part in the related activities to CTBT on-site inspection (OSI) hosted by the Provisional Technical Secretariat of the CTBTO (Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization) and, for his excellent performance in such activities, he is continually invited to OSI-related workshops, expert meetings, exercises and training activities.
