Yuki Kominami

Research Fellow, The Japan Institute of International Affairs

Dr. Yuki Kominami is a Research Fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA). He studied international politics and international history at Doshisha University and Keio University. He was a Junior Visiting Fellow at JIIA from 2019 to 2024, a non-resident researcher at the Institute of International Affairs from 2022 to 2024, and a research assistant at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) from 2022 to 2024. In addition to his role at JIIA, he teaches international relations and crisis management at Kanagawa University of Human Services.

His research primarily focuses on UK-US relations and British diplomatic history after the Second World War. His current interests include British foreign policy in the Indo-Pacific and security cooperation between Japan and the UK.
