The 4th Tokyo Global Dialogue was held from February 20th to February 21st, 2023 in a hybrid format (speakers and audience members onsite on February 20th and online on February 21st) on the theme of "The End of the ‘post-Cold War’ Era and the Future of the US-led International Order". Thirty-eight speakers from 14 countries and one region took part. The Opening and the Roundtable were followed by three sessions focusing on US-China competition and the Indo-Pacific region, two sessions focusing on the impact of the war in Ukraine, and one session focusing on the future of the US-led international order, during which the international situation, the current state of the US-led international order, and the outlook for the post “post-Cold War” era were discussed.
H.E. Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, and H.E. Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the Opening. Prime Minister Kishida offered introductory remarks and Foreign Minister Hayashi gave a speech and took questions from the floor.
